Day 63 Gisborne (Xmas Eve)

Today involved a visit to the shops for some gifts (mainly watches from a local gift shop) and then I joined Sharon and Arran as they went around town visiting their friends in the afternoon.
I've also been having a number of mishaps these last two nights with my bed. "Steady now Ewen whats all this about??" Well I keep falling out of it as I move to find the cooler part. Last night at three am the corner of the bedside unit hit my eye and totally confused I roared "Oh my goodness my eye" or words to that effect and then turned over and went straight back to sleep. I think the rails on the hostel bunk beds have lulled me into false sense of security.

Well tomorrow will be my first xmas away from friends and family and I'm sure a xmas day here in the Southern Hemisphere will have its share of new experiences. It makes no difference to Santa though. He just has make sure there is plenty water for the reindeers to cool them down in the warm night air....
