So by evening after stocking up at the supermarket on essentials I reached the very busy campsite and was given two choices. A proper pitch or a random spot of my own choosing in what the receptionist called the "Island" at half the price. I presumed the dearer option afforded greater personal space and not being too concerned opted for the "Island". Day 103 Golden Bay
A drive today to setup the tent in Golden Bay which is just over the hill from Able Tasman. It took me all day though as I splashed out on a full breakfast at Hot Mamas cafe in Motueka before going to the internet shop to catch up on the worldwide web. This made a pleasant change from the daily cereal, bananas and mug of tea in the campsite kitchens to the sound of farting from the toilet blocks. Really it does happen just like a dawn chorus.
