Day 12 Flagstaff

On the back of a healthy mountain air appetite and a breakfast to match I marched over to AZ bikes and bought this beauty. Well lets just call her the cheapest bone shaker in town but oh what price freedom? Hey with any luck in a few weeks, a quick wash, a strapping to a lamp post and a neat for sale sign will do the trick. The bike not me!!

Armed with my "Fat Tire Tales and Trails Guide" by Cosmic Ray I sped off (within state higway limits) to the Dry Lake Hills and Schultz Creek Trail. Three minutes in the tyres were flat.......and the pump did not work.....well it did ....once the bike shop showed me. So it was back out to the trail for a robust chasing at the offset by not one, not two but three dogs whilst their owner prepped his bike blisfully unaware of the dancing with wolves scene taking place behind him. Have you seen a pack of the wolves flank their pray in the forest while the leader distracts the hapless victim. Yep, thats what was going down in Dry Lake Hills till Dave the owner (lets call him Dave) called Rex, Roddy and Murdo back to the car. .........Menzies you will have caught the names here.

With enough excitement for one day (it went well after the dogs) a hearty meal in the local grill was just the ticket where the waiter recommended whilst throwing in a look of supreme wisdom that I head for the mighty township of Sedona tomorrow. Onwards ever onwards!!
