November is the start of summer in Fiji and also part of the rainy season.....it rained all night and most of today. Not to worry we watched the England and Wales world cup qualifying matches in the TV room which thanks to "Love Island"contained a plasma screen and couches. I then retired for a day of reading to the very lounge pictured above where Jayne Midlemiss, Lady Victoria etc slept during the seven weeks of the programme. On the walls you can still read the messages they wrote to communicate with viewers. The rascals...
The rain did stop for volleyball which takes place every night at five with staff and hostellers strutting their stuff. Many a time the ball flew into into the coconut tree from a serve and one of these times a coconut is definately going to fall.
We got together (thats the fellow hostellers ..not me and the Middlemiss) in the evening for another round of texas hold em and I managed to win a couple of times mainly through stupidity and a bit of luck. How people can risk their money at this game is beyond me.
Off to bed...will the rain stop and if it does whats in store tomorrow....??
