Day 80 Akaroa

After a two hour drive to the frenchtown of Akoroa and its deep blue waters I sensed after checking in with Black Cat dolphin cruises that as we prepared to suit up into the wetsuits all was not well. What could be wrong I thought. Dolphins pressing for more of a cut or a day off. Nope the captain had decided the sea was too rough to sail. Oh dash it but I just rebooked for tomorrow as the baloon flight taught me its worth persevering for these chance of a lifetimes.

Took a wander around Akaroa and it certainly is french. Even the seabirds sing with an accent and the street signs make you feel your in France.

Then after the long drive drive home I checked my emails to find my good friends Ross and Laura had a baby boy Rhyss. Congratulations you two. I'm looking forward to seing the wee smasher on my return.

The evening saw another delicious barbecue and as I sat with Jane and Peter in the evening the forecast on the tv looked great for the dolphins tomorrow.......
