Our team meeting first thing in the morning advised of us of tonights barbecue always held on day three of the course and we were to be in charge of the salads. Luckliy for us there were some pretty good cooks in our team. Not being one of them I provided the fruit which was a worthy ontribution I felt.
More roll sessions at the pool in the morning and remembering Micks advice its all a mind game I had a good pep talk with my mind and things clicked back into place again. We were to go back down the same river as yesterday and this was a real confidence booster knowing what was ahead. Matt and Spanna continued to keep us right.
The evenings barbecue went well. Our salad contained various twists so much so nobody really could remember what had gone into it and this became a bit of a joke in the evening. We also partook of a beveridge and filled our riggers at the local pub., A rigger as it turns out is a two litre plastic bottle which the pub will fill for you (in my case Monteiths original dark ale) and you can take it home at little expense (Matt gave us this instruction). Everyone was tiring by this point and the barbecue petered out by nine. A common bedtime over the course.
