As I waited for my name to be called out at breakfast in the hostel I heard the name "Paul". Why it was none other than the Paul who had been on the same safari as me in Uluru.
Instead of the usual first day orienteering to get to know a new city I was given a guided tour by Paul. Highlights were the food markets and there are millions of electronics stores at ridiculously cheap prices. Although they never display the price and look to barter. You really need to know the price of the camera etc from the internet before you get into negotiations as you will have the "Im a tourist, rip me off" badge on.
A visit to the Singapore art museum before we all went back to the foodmarkets and then sat outside the hostel swapping stories. Paul, Daniele, Christian and myself ate plenty chocolate thanks to Christian whose girlfriend works in the Lint chocolate factory in Germany . Enough said.
