Four more dives and numerous questions from the textbook today and suddenly as sunset set in I was now an Advanced Diver certified by those very nice people from Billabog Diving in Semporna under the PADI Professional Association of Dive Instructors.Two dives in particular were memorable. The drift dive where you learn to perfect your buoyancy using the air in your lungs so you just sit there suspended under water (like being in outer space) and let the current drift you along. Secondly the night dive where the reef crackles in your ear and if you switch off your light and wave your hands about the bacteria in the water glows.
Time to catch the sunset and have a good feed. Tomorrow I explore Mabul island..........
