Set off today for Whakapa (easy for you to say) Village campsite which is located near to the Tongariro crossing. This is reputedly the worlds best day hike and where Mount Doom from Lord of the Rings was filmed.
So after setting up "Base Camp" I undertook a much needed tidy up of the car and importantly a complete laundry. I'm gettting pretty good at the camp laundry machines now. Gwyneth....no need for the paper pants as yet !!
