I've opted for stay at home day today as the sun was beating down and the hostel has a pool (yes I know what hostels ever have pools but the Anndion is exceptional). Never been into swimming that much and probably that explains why I'm not that good at it but after today I'm hooked. Ronnie....I get it now!
In between the swimming I chatted with the gardener and the owners parrot "Oz" who myteriously reappeared today from I beleive a language correctional facility. He is still swearing though and in an australian accent.
Other animals resident at the hostel are the cat "Betty" and the outdoor fish. Anyone staying long term at a hostel usually has to carry out chores for free board and in Betty's case this seems to involve patrolling the facility, meowing at travellers and rolling on her belly.
Its been nice having a bed to leep in these last few days and now with the tent dried out its time to untie the horse and head North again................
