Day 92 Wanaka (Rain, Swim and Mount Iron)

Well three months away from the croft today and Wanaka held onto me in a dark rainshower all through the night unill late afternoon. It was a day for uploading some New Zealand pictures to the website and Skype with family.

The clouds never shfted and as evening arrived I made my way to the loch for more swimming practice to the amazement of one passing Kiwi jogger. As we chatted she asked "Bit chilly in there today?" to which I said "its like a bath compared to Scotland" which was true.
Suitably refreshed I poured some warming peppermint tea from my thermos and wrote up the journal. It was then time to take on the short trek to the summit of Mount Iron to catch dusk set in over Wanaka and as sure s day turns into night dusk wandered along with his hands in his pockets. A bit like my trek.
There is a good spell of weather ahead and now I must decide to leave paradise found that is Wanaka for the West Coast or stay a bit longer. It has to be the most beautiful lake in the World. She was not going to let me go easily..........
